Venture into vibrant Falmouth...

Falmouth town is filled with a vibrant mix of independent and high street shops, cafes, galleries, pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.

A few of our favourite places to eat and drink include are The Chain Locker, Gylly Beach Café, Indidog, The Working Boat, Star & Garter, Stable Bar, The Shed, The Cove, and Hooked on the Rocks as well as the award-winning Harbour Lights fish and chips.

You’re also spoilt for choice for beaches with Gyllyngvase, Swanpool, Maenporth and Castle beaches nearby, all offering beach cafes, water sports including kayaking, paddleboarding and coasteering, car parking and toilets.

For garden enthusiasts the area has much to offer as the stunning gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan are a short drive away.

The National Maritime Museum can be found on the harbourside, with lots to offer for all ages and other attractions such as Pendennis Castle, Cornish Seal Sanctuary and Flambards theme park all within easy reach.

You can also use Falmouth as a base for exploring the local area by catching the ferry to the beautiful coastal town of St Mawes or travel by boat along the estuary to Truro.

Or if you’re feeling more adventurous, you could hire your own motor boat, go whale and dolphin watching with Orca Sea Safaris or tackle high wires and zip lines for an adrenaline filled day out at Via Ferrata.

Falmouth also has a fantastic events programme throughout the year with everything from live music, sailing events, the famous Sea Shanty and Oyster Festivals, literary, sporting and festive events.
