FAQs

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive from guests. If there is anything we’ve not answered here please email us at falmouthcottage84@gmail.com or complete the contact form here.

Do you take dogs?

Yes we welcome dogs with open arms – they are part of the family after all! Two dogs are included in the rental price, more may be accommodated by prior agreement. We do ask that they are not left unattended in the property at any time and remain off the furniture and beds and that you pick up after them whilst on site. Please bring all bedding and towels required for your four-legged friend.

What is the booking deposit?

We take 25% of the holiday cost as a deposit on booking which secures your dates. The balance will be payable in full 8 weeks prior to your holiday. We can accept payment in instalments via standing order. Please email us at falmouthcottage84@gmail.com to discuss this.

What happens if I need to cancel my holiday?

We strongly advise that you have appropriate holiday cancellation cover in place at the time of booking and we know that circumstances can change. Cancellations must be made in writing to us by emailing falmouthcottage84@gmail.com If you cancel a booking more than 8 weeks before arrival, the deposit paid at the time of placing the booking will not be refunded to you but can be transferred to another available date. If you cancel a booking less than 8 weeks prior to the start date of the holiday and have paid your balance in full, you will not be entitled to a refund but we will endeavour to move your booking to an alternative date.

What is the bed configuration?

There are two bedrooms, one is a double and the other can either be made as a twin or linked together as a super king. The bedrooms have a shared bathroom and there is a downstairs WC.

We are just a five-minute drive from the three beautiful beaches of Falmouth – Maenporth, Swanpool and Gyllyngvase. Maenporth and Swanpool are dog friendly except during July and August when dogs are allowed before 10am and after 6pm. The dog ban between 10am and 6pm is in place at Gyllyngvase from 15th May to 30th September. You can also walk to Maenporth beach from the cottage off road in around 20-25 minutes
